Types and uses of hairdressing scissors:
There are more than 4 types of dental scissors, but the main function is only one, which is to thin hair. Common types are:
1. Density of teeth
Generally, the number of teeth of dental scissors is between 27-40 teeth (the most commonly used type). The number of teeth is the percentage of hair that can be cut during the next cut. In other words, a 35-tooth clip can thin hair about 35%, and so on.
2. The shape of the tooth mouth
The shape of the tooth mouth determines the structure of the haircut after trimming. Common tooth mouths are flat mouth, V-shaped mouth and U-shaped mouth. The flat mouth is a relatively early design, because the hair will slip away from the mouth when the mouth is opened and closed, so the thinning ratio is not standard enough. V-shaped mouth and U-shaped mouth have grooves in the tooth mouth, which can hold the hair proportionally in the tooth mouth. Another blade cuts off the hair in the tooth mouth, and the hair outside the tooth mouth allows it to slide away naturally. These two kinds of teeth are used for many purposes, and can achieve a more natural effect when used on the top and bangs, and can meet the requirements of natural pruning.
3. Width of tooth mouth
The width of the tooth mouth of the general dental scissors is 1-1.2mnm (fine teeth), and the groove position can only accommodate 1 to 2 hairs. But some special designs, the width of the tooth mouth is 3-5mm (coarse teeth), the groove position can accommodate 5 to 10 hairs, and the number of cutting teeth is as low as 7-14. These dental scissors are designed for some special hairstyles. Designed for structure. The use of coarse-tooth scissors can make the top shape of short and medium hairstyles reach a very strong mixed layering of length and short.
4. Anti-tooth and bilateral teeth
When holding the scissors with your right hand, the scissors are located on the blade held by the ring finger. The opposite-tooth scissors are just the opposite. The scissors are located on the blade held by the thumb. The cutting teeth are above and the blade is below. The two blades of the bilateral tooth shear are shear teeth. The main purpose of designing these two kinds of dental scissors is to reduce the cutting line when the hair is thinned. For example, take out some layered hair from the sides of the head or the back of the head, cut the hair with orthodontic teeth, and then drag the hair out. You can find that there is a dotted line in the lower part of the cut. The hair on the lower surface of the anti-tooth scissors will not show a tangent line. Since the bilateral scissors have no blade, the upper and lower sides will not show tangent lines. But because the tooth fronts collide with each other, they are easily damaged. These two scissors are most suitable for thinning the sides of short hairstyles and trimming the sides and the back of the head for short and medium hairstyles.
